The Precision Machine Technology program includes both theoretical and hands-on laboratory experiences designed to complement a four-year machinist or tool and die makers’ apprenticeship program.
The Associate in Applied Science degree in precision machine technology (machine tool metalworking head start program) is a two-year curriculum designed for individuals seeking a solid background of manufacturing core experience and the opportunity to study a wide range of skills and related disciplines necessary for positions in the current and future manufacturing industries.
Students in the Precision Machine Technology program will participate in areas of study include precision machining practices, maintenance machining, CNC/CAM/EDM, stamping dies, plastic injection mold making, and CAD.

This program contains the option of transferring to a four-year manufacturing degree program and is designed to accommodate both full- and part-time students by offering both day and evening classes in all areas of study.
Graduates will be qualified to fill thousands of unfilled, high paying, secure positions in the current high tech manufacturing job market. It is possible for students to obtain desirable positions even before graduation.
