Administrative professionals handle an office’s administrative activities in almost every sector of the economy, including schools, government, and private corporations. The job of administrative professionals is evolving rapidly. As technology increasingly automates the routine tasks they used to do, the work is becoming more varied, challenging and interesting.
The Administrative Professional program offers a curriculum that includes the latest technology and skills needed for employment in a wide variety of office positions. Emphasis is placed on the development of written and oral communication skills and the use of computer-based word processing, spreadsheet, database, and accounting software in the performance of office functions. Students can give themselves a competitive edge by gaining an associate’s degree or certificate.
Courses are designed for students entering the curriculum for the first time as well as for students preparing for a return to the workforce or making a career change. The program offers students schedule flexibility by offering face-to-face, online and hybrid class formats, all while getting personalized attention from beginning to end.
Also, upon completion of this program, students will be prepared to sit for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification exams.
