These cultural competency interactive workshops are designed to grow awareness of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and help students build skills for creating an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive.

The purpose of the cultural competency workshop is to increase awareness of DEI and its value to the JJC community while building skills to help us create an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive. All workshops will take place virtually. Due to the importance of the content covered in this workshop, it is included as part of employee mandatory training.

JJC's Safe Zone Ally Training is a campus-wide program designed to create a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ students, faculty and staff. Nearly 100 students, staff and faculty who have gone through this training program, which prepares them to be helpful advocates.
