The Customer Service Representative schedules deliveries, traces loads and responds to problems that arise during the day regarding pick-ups or deliveries. The CSR communicates with customers on their freight in regard to delays or accessorials.
Perform prompt and complete data entry
Enter accurate customer orders in computer system
Monitor on-time performance for driver delivery and pick-up
Prepare tracking reports
Develop knowledge base of all customers
Develop relationships of all customers
Understand and abide by various customer requirements
Resolve customer problems promptly and efficiently
Understand the operations and rules of the various rail carriers and piers
Communicate with Dispatchers to avoid any problems with loads or transports and resolve any issues that may occur
Cooperate with Revenue Team to retain and/or develop business
Trace and monitor existing loads in the system to prevent problems from occurring
Other duties as assigned
Hours are Monday-Friday 7:00-4:00 with occasional overtime as needed.

Experience in intermodal transportation or import/export business preferred
Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
Excellent computer skills
Ability to effectively multi-task when necessary
Flexible; able to work in past-paced environment
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and relative experience
Ability to work long hours/swing shift hours if necessary to handle special customer requests
Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
Excellent computer skills
Ability to effectively multi-task when necessary
