Job Description | Duties``` - Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience - Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone - Collect patient information and update electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or eClinicalWorks - Assist with medical administrative support tasks, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Manage patient billing and insurance claims, verifying coverage and collecting payments - Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up on test results - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room - Answer phone calls professionally and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff members - Provide excellent patient service, addressing questions or concerns with empathy and efficiency |
Job Requirements | Qualifications``` - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus - Proven experience working in a medical office or similar healthcare setting - Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and software (e.g., Dentrix, eClinicalWorks) - Strong knowledge of medical administrative procedures and terminology - Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, and phone systems - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and providers - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and handling confidential information - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change.
