The Safety HOS Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the Sr. Manager of Transportation Safety. They will execute best practices with Quantix’s in-house log auditing program, in its totality, and will audit compliance consistently to assist in developing data and creating actionable reporting.
Summary of essential job functions
This job includes, but is not limited to, the following duties assigned by current manager:
Ensure compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations regarding Hours of Service
Maintain knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations and ensure company compliance of same
Conduct, and coordinate DOT logbook and other safety-related audits. Assist the Sr. Manager of Safety, through investigations, with the audit program
Assist in developing, recommending, and executing changes needed within Electronic Logging programs including, but not limited to, ELD training
Assist drivers in troubleshooting ELD-related malfunctions
Maintain a working relationship with the ELD-provider’s personnel to stay current with new initiatives, work through ongoing system issues, and implement change
