A fast-paced comic send-up of the 1915 adventure novel of the same name by John Buchan and the 1935 film version by Alfred Hitchcock. The story: Richard Hannay's quest to crack the secret of The 39 Steps drives him from London to the highlands of Scotland, while an international spy ring tries to crack him.
