The Morris Education Center serves the greater Grundy County community and surrounding areas by providing continuing education and workforce services.
Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm
Programming offered both day and evening consist of:

- English as a Second Language (ESL)
- High School Equivalency (HSE)
- Non-Credit and Life-Long Learning
- Two State-of-the-art computer labs
- Three Semi-Smart classrooms

Introduction to Mental and Behavioral Health (Workforce)
Join us for this introductory course on all things mental and behavioral health. This 8-week course will include topics such as Ethics and Intake, Substance Use Disorders, Mental Health Disorders, Crisis Intervention, First Aid and CPR, Treatment and Pharmacology, Understanding Trauma, and Domestic Violence. Modules will be taught by licensed mental and behavioral health professionals. This course is designed for anyone looking to develop a general understanding of the mental health field as a possible career path or as a supplement to those working in healthcare, education, law enforcement, human services or related fields.
Classes are Saturday February 4th - March 25th from 8:30am - 1:30pm.
Free virtual information session Thursday, January 19th, 6pm - 7pm.
Classes are being held at the Morris Education Center 725 School Street Door 27 Morris, Illinois 60450.
Course is $500.
Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), financial assistance for adults and youth for education and training may be provided so that individuals can enter the workforce in jobs that will allow them to financially support themselves and their families.
