Career Services supports students long after they leave JJC. Our team offers a range of resources to help recent graduates and alumni navigate their next steps, advance in their careers, and stay connected to new opportunities. 

Services include:

• Career Coaching & Advising
  One-on-one appointments to explore career goals, identify pathways, and develop next steps.
• Resume & Cover Letter Support
  Personalized feedback to strengthen application materials for full-time, part-time, and industry-specific roles.
• Interview Preparation
  Mock interviews, coaching on behavioral questions, and tips to help alumni present confidently.
• Job Search Strategies
  Guidance on navigating career transitions, using job boards effectively, and building a targeted job search plan.
• Access to Handshake
  Continued access to JJC’s job and internship platform to find employment opportunities, employer events, and recruitment fairs.
• Networking & Employer Engagement Events
  Invitations to recruitment events and the annual Joliet Regional College & Career Fair.
• Career Assessment Tools
  Access to Focus2 or other assessments to help alumni identify strengths, interests, and career options.
• Professional Development Workshops
  Sessions on topics like LinkedIn, workplace communication, negotiating job offers, and career advancement.
• Support for Career Changes
  Coaching for alumni exploring new industries, returning to school, or reskilling.
