Have an item, article of clothing, or appliance in need of repairs? Visit our cafe to have your items repaired, to learn skills from volunteers and in group sessions or just hang out with the community and watch videos and documentaries on sustainability!

Call for Volunteers

Are you a local resident with a skill who can be present as a repair expert during the event? JJC's Repair Cafe especially needs people who enjoy sharing their knowledge with others are handy with:

• Electrical appliances
• Furniture/wooden objects
• Leather/shoes
• Jewelry
• Ceramics
• Instruments

Donations allow us to continue the mission by maintaining the necessary repair supplies, promoting events, appreciating our volunteers, and fostering a culture of reuse for more environmentally conscious and resilient communities.

About the Repair Café

Inspired by a movement from Amsterdam, the idea of the Repair Café is that volunteers from JJC and its community come together to offer their repair expertise to Joliet area residents for free! People can bring in items that are broken, get them repaired, and learn how to fix things themselves.
