Plan monthly parent events

Staff to ensure proper ratios, cost effective combing of classrooms and arrange substitute staff as needed.
Plan monthly staff meetings.
Ensure accuracy of all new paperwork of staff files.
Perform yearly staff evaluations
Hire staff as needed and economically feasible.
Terminate staff when needed.
Enforce that staff are following their daily schedules and lesson plans.
Ensure staff is following dress codes.
Orientation should be performed with all new staff.
Professional Duties
Work cooperatively with other staff, parents and outside consultants.
Read and follow all DCFS standards.
Read and follow all Playhouse Academy policies and procedures.
Comply with all NAC accreditation standards.
Be respectful and courteous to parents, staff and children.
Maintain confidentiality with all information that is obtained at the center.
Attend all meetings, seminars, and workshops punctually and be present and ready to learn.
Stay current on trends in the Early Childhood field such as Gateways, INCCRRA, curriculum and discipline.
Be sure the center is inviting and has a pleasant odor. It should be well organized and not cluttered. This includes playgrounds and parking lots.
Maintain a good public image.
Remain flexible in hours and duties performed in order to make the center run efficiently.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Utilize time effectively.
Exhibit a genuine interest in always improving the center and quality of care the children receive.
Maintain good working relationship with other Directors.
Seek out radio and newspaper exposure.
Participates in community activities.
Paperwork Compliance
Complete all necessary paperwork associated with the CACFP including enrollment forms, eligibility forms, and meal counts, end of the month reconciliation and submission of claim.
Be knowledgeable about IDHS and DCFS subsidy paperwork to help parents fill out needed paperwork to start and maintain eligibility. Submit all claim forms and track until payment is received, checked and entered.

64 Semester hours with 21 in ECE and a Director I credential or 3 hours in admin classes/ leadership/management or associates in ECE/CD
Complete continuing education requirements every year
Current Food Service Sanitation license
Maintain current CPR and first aid. This training is free and your time is paid, if it is completed through Playhouse Academy. If you fail to go to your scheduled training date, you will be required to get the training on your own within 30 days from that training date.
