The company’s focus is purchasing and reselling store-level inventories from Fortune 500 and other well-known U.S. retailers. SliBuy offers its bidders brand-name merchandise at a price they set, resulting in effective discounts of up to 80% off regular retail. For retailers, SliBuy discreetly liquidates inventories including product returns and seasonal items. SliBuy is unique in that they offer their customers the ability to pick the product up at their warehouse or have it shipped within the U.S.. SliBuy was founded in 2011 in Shorewood, IL and has grown from the founder’s garage to a +100K square foot warehouse. Every day is Christmas morning at the SliBuy warehouse. The company purchases truckloads of mixed inventory from retailers and often doesn’t know what will be on the truck until they open the doors. A box with a laptop could be stacked on top of a kayak next to a blender. Items are unloaded and then sorted based on their retail value.
