Art Exhibition: James Deeb

James Deeb's subjective composites of strangers he encounters on public transit in and around Chicago are birthed from his canvas in thick, heavy, weathered layers of paint. The images tell a story of struggle and loss but also of perseverance and quiet strength. In Deeb's own words, they "refer to the trials of everyday existence with as much pathos and empathy as (he) can muster."

The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday when the College is open.
