Advancing entrepreneurship through access to resources, expert guidance, and small business support services.
JJC’s Office of Inclusive Excellence and Advocacy oversees small business support services aimed at helping entrepreneurs grow, create jobs, and develop leadership skills within Illinois communities. Through outreach and training, JJC’s small business services work to expand access to resources and opportunities for all business owners, including those who are underrepresented and emerging.
At the Entrepreneur & Business Center, JJC students, staff, or community members can work with dedicated advisors to set clear goals and timelines, gain expert guidance to make informed decisions, and connect with community partners who support every stage of small business formation and growth.
“The Illinois Commission on Equity and Inclusion’s (CEI) Business Enterprise Program (BEP) certification process underscores Illinois' unwavering dedication to fostering opportunities and inclusion for businesses owned by minorities, women, and persons with disabilities” (CEI Illinois, 2025). JJC is committed to supporting business owners through the BEP Certification process.
