Job Description:
Serves as Plan Administrator for health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans
Processes benefit enrollment/changes for each plan and assists with the preparation of Open Enrollment materials
Meets and reviews the District’s employee benefit program with all employees
Assists with on-boarding of new employees with regards to personnel files and benefits information
Maintains I-9s for all employees
Reconciles insurance deductions bi-weekly with payroll coordinator
Maintains and balances the District’s Self Insured Medical and Dental checking accounts
Processes requests for leaves of absence and administers policies in regards to sick leave and personal leave in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreements and Board of Education policy.
Maintains confidentiality of staff/personnel information
Creates and updates forms as needed for the efficient operation of the Business Office
Maintains professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic to represent school district at all times
Recommends new methods or ideas within the Business Office to increase productivity and time management
Performs such other tasks as may be assigned by the CSBO and/or Superintendent
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of benefits administration experience and leave management experience is required
Knowledge in the use of financial software applications (public school software preferred)
Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills
