Job Description:
Grace Child Care Center has been serving our community since 1977.   We are a DCFS licensed child care center serving children ages 6 weeks – 6 years of age.  Our mission is to provide quality childcare to the children in our church and community. An educational program is provided with attention given to the needs of the children to grow physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and religiously.

Currently, we are hiring an Assistant Director.  When you join our team as an Assistant Center Director, you will:
•	Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives
•	Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
•	Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, and state licensing authorities
•	Serve in various roles throughout the center as needed, including teacher and cook.



Job Requirements:
Requirements
•	Must be 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
•	All new child care directors hired on or after July 1, 2017 shall have a minimum of an associate degree in child development or early childhood education, or the equivalent (defined as 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education) and either a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential (see 89 Ill. Adm. Code 50.720(b) and http://www.ilgateways.com/en/illinois-directorcredential-idc) or 3 semester hours of college credit or 3 points of credential approved training in administration, leadership or management
