Work in all environmental health programs, which include, but are not limited to food sanitation, potable water supply, private sewage disposal, public health nuisances, tanning & body art, mosquito borne disease, indoor radon, solid waste management, emergency response, & other special programs & projects.
Collects environmental samples as required for laboratory analysis; performs simple & routine field tests.
Explains state laws, local ordinances, rules & regulations, offers guidance on sanitation practices & principles, provides advice regarding improvements or corrections necessary to assure compliance with applicable laws, rules & regulations.
8:30 am – 4:30pm, onsite Monday through Friday with evenings and weekends as directed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required in the physical and/or biological sciences (minimum of 30 semester hrs./45 quarter hrs.)
A minimum of three (3) years of field experience in an environmental health-related discipline preferred.
Illinois LEHP (Licensed Environmental Health Practitioner) preferred.
Ability to pass background check.
Valid Illinois Driver’s License.
14 1/2 paid holidays per year (Holidays are approved each year by the Kendall County Board).
