The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations and to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures.
Professional/Educational
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Graduate of an accredited school.
Experience in Ambulatory Clinics preferred.
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
Personal
Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.
Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
Possess the ability to maintain the Standards of Conduct.
Ability to use the proper channels of communication.
