Job Description | Full job description Responsibilities of the ABA Therapist: - Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - RBT must collect data on client progress and behavior - With the help of the BCBA, the BT will assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans - ABA Therapist will provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients - Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills - Assist with community outings and activities - Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in treatment approach Skills: - Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques - Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement strategies - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively - Excellent observation skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with autism. Job Requirements | Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred - Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred - Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and implement strategies effectively - Must be reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Schedule: After school Evening shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Travel requirement: Up to 25% travel Work setting: In-home In-person Experience: Applied behavior analysis: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) RBT Certification (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Morris, IL: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person |
