Job Description | Shift and schedule Weekends as needed Day shift Full job description Financial Plus Credit Union is a $490M Credit Union located in Northcentral Illinois. We are a full-service financial institution offering a full array of products and services to our more than 42,000 members at five locations. Teller Reports to: Head Teller or Branch Manager Position Overview: Perform limited transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high degree of accuracy. Maintain accurate transactional records, providing basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Specific duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions. Perform routine member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing and closing accounts. Examine checks for endorsements and negotiability. Balance and compare teller drawer to computer-generated totals at the end of each shift. Research and resolve discrepancies. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary. Basic knowledge of credit union products and services. Respond to member requests, problems and complaints and/or direct them to the proper department for specific information or assistance. Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies and procedures, rules and regulations for the teller area, including robbery procedures. |
Job Requirements | Qualifications: Previous teller, sales and/or financial industry experience preferred. High school diploma or GED preferred. Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. OTHER REMARKS: Physical Demands: Drive up tellers reach overhead to retrieve teller tubes approximately 300 times per day and move station to station as needed. Tellers handle coin that may range in weight - they may stand, sit or walk for various lengths of time and may escort members to other departments within the branch. |
