Job Summary:

This is a developmental role leading to District Sales Manager or comparable role within 24 to 36 months, providing the candidate with a well-rounded background through exposure to several departments across Crane Composites.


Responsibilities:

Developmental role that may work in the following departments for 6 to 9 months: Customer Care / Inside Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, or to be assigned special high visibility short-term projects.
Quickly learn responsibilities of current role
Transition smoothly between departments and hand off responsibilities and projects during transition
Form and maintain good relationships with internal customers at all levels of the organization.
Maintain an objective and cooperative relationship with peers and internal customers.
Understand project or department deliverables and complete all assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner, which may include the development and use of an action plan.
Keep accurate and well-organized records and necessary documentation.
Learn CBS (Crane Business Systems), our business system and approach to continuously improve our processes, products and people.
Identify potential areas for improvement or change and review with manager
Learn Crane product offering and services, business model, and value propositions to customers.
Support a working environment that enables world class customer service.
Learn industry terminology and basic application and installation methods.
Understand how we go to market and how that brings value to our customers.
Understand vendor base at a high level and the value that having world class suppliers brings to Crane and our customers.
Develop the computer skills necessary to be successful in a DM role, including Word, Excel, Power BI, and Salesforce.com, as a part of Sales Excellence (CBS sales approach)
Perform other duties assigned by Manager
Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
Up to 3 years business related experience
Ability to relocate for a District Sales Manager role within 36 months, required
Must be able to form and maintain good relationships with external customers and internal customers at all levels of the organization.
Must possess a very strong aptitude and desire to learn.
Excellent verbal and written skills, including telephone skills.
General computer skills required, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
The ability to solve problems, think creatively, and offer solutions
Act with a “sense of urgency”
Comfortable multi-tasking and working in a fast pace environment.
