    GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

    A Delivery Assistant helps with the successful delivery and installation of major appliances, furniture and bedding. The delivery team is the final impression that is made on our customer during their buying experience, so it is important to ensure that it's a positive one. This is a training position to become a Delivery and Installation Technician.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

    Help the Delivery & Installation Specialist to complete jobs in an efficient manner.

    Make sure all necessary add-on items are on the truck for the delivery (example: gas lines, washer hoses, dryer vent, etc.)

    Keep track of product serial numbers and collect payments from customers if needed.

    Make sure our customers have the best delivery experience possible.

    Explain to customers the features of the products that they've purchased

    MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Help bring new product to the showroom floor, as needed, and unpack like in a customers home.

    Keep truck clean and orderly.

    Attend all scheduled staff meetings and trainings.

    Experience:

    Delivery or furniture/appliance experience is preferred but not required

    Other:

    Must be 18 years of age or older

    Must have a valid, clean driver's license

    Must maintain a clean physical appearance and be in good physical condition

    Must be able to lift 100+ pounds on a regular basis

    Must be able to display an outgoing personality enabling him/her to relate well to customers and co-workers

    Must understand and be able to communicate specific features of the products that are delivered to customers

    KEY COMPETENCIES

    Deliver merchandise to customer's home without damaging the product or personal property

    Maintain proper records of items delivered

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
