    The Senior Clinical Application Specialist acts as a liaison between Information Technology and user department(s). Plans, directs, organizes, and controls the hardware needs of user department(s). Plans, directs, organizes, and controls the use of software modules. Plans, directs, organizes, and controls the design and acquisition of custom programming. Plans, directs, organizes, and controls the training of users. Creates, researches, and analyzes data not readily available for complex decisions having direct impact on department operations and/or patient care and may have a direct impact on hospital operations. Exhibits superior human relations skills. Continuously improves proficiency and knowledge. Guides and assists the Clinical Application Specialists in their duties.  This job description contains most of the duties and responsibilities for which an employee will be held accountable.     Professional/Educational
    Associates degree required, Bachelors degree highly desired.
    10+ years IT experience.

    3-5 years clinical experience.

    Understanding of HL7 Interfaces.

    Experience working with Meditech Client/Server.

    Prefer experience with CPOE and advanced clinicals.

    Knowledge of clinical, registration, medical records workflows.

    Strong project management, communication, training, decision making and troubleshooting skills.

    Superior decision-making and troubleshooting skills.

    Personal
    Ability to communicate with other professionals

    Ability to lead small project teams

    Ability to analyze and recommendations on projects

    Possess superior human relation skill
