Job Description:
Responsible and accountable for the education and performance improvement within the Intensive Care area. Works with the manager, hospital education department, staff members, and equipment vendors to assess, identify, plan, implement, and follow up education and quality initiatives. Supplements best practices and monitors compliance. Assists with staffing, scheduling, coordinating of new employees and preceptors, and unit operations.

Job Requirements:
Professional/Educational
1. Graduate from an accredited School of nursing.

2. Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.

3. Bachelor Degree in Nursing required.

4. Master Degree preferred.

5. Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

6. Certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

7. Certified by the American Heart Association in Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS).

8. Critical Care Nurse Certification preferred.

Knowledge or training for the professional or technical group supervised.

Requires three (3) or more years of experience.

DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
