WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Assist in the temporary shutdown of the facility’s HVAC equipment, systems, and electrical components necessary for renovation, repair, and new construction projects.

Design, construct, install and remove various facility HVAC equipment, systems, and HVAC components.

Diagnose malfunctions in the facility’s HVAC equipment, systems, or HVAC components and take appropriate corrective and preventative actions.

Maintain appropriate documentation for the facility’s HVAC equipment, systems, and HVAC components.

Maintain appropriate inventory of replacement electrical equipment and systems.

Maintain the hospital computerized maintenance management system through the appropriate completion of work orders and the recording of equipment history.

Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all facility HVAC and refrigeration equipment, systems, and components in accordance with prescribed procedures.

Provide quality control for new installations or replacements of the facility’s HVAC and refrigeration equipment, systems and HVAC components performed by others.

Respond to emergency situations such as electrical outages, HVAC equipment failures, ruptured pipe, fires or other hospital codes per hospital and department emergency response plans.
QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma Required

HVAC related Associate Degree preferred

HVAC Certificate preferred

2 years of HVAC, refrigeration maintenance, repair, or construction field experience required

2 years of hospital maintenance or construction experience preferred
