Job Description:
The Cancer Registrar serves as staff to the Cancer Committee and is involved in all aspects of the cancer program. Abstraction of data, preparation and documentation of tumor boards, cancer committee meetings, patient care evaluations and liaison to the medical staff and administration.


Job Requirements:
Professional/Educational
Current Certified Tumor Registrar.

Consideration will also be given to Registered Record Administrator, Accredited Record Technician, Certified Coding Specialist.

Experience in Cancer Registry is necessary.

Understanding of Illinois State Law in regard to release of information.

Must possess knowledge in medical terminology, allied health science, health information systems.
