Job Description:
The Certified Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for providing hospital sterilization and to ensure continued and proper flow of contaminated, disinfected or sterilized materials, instruments, specialized and biomedical equipment.

Job Requirements:
Professional/Educational
High School graduate preferred.

Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred – Nursing Assistant, Surgery Aide or Sterile Processing Department.

Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician required.

Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Will participate in on the job training as necessary to learn the basic skills in sterile and aseptic technique.

Personal
Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.

Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.

Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.

Ability to follow directions accurately.

Willingness to participate in call schedule and work irregular hours as necessary.
