It is the role of the Care Guide to companion patients and their “secondary guests" through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize the patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit. The Care Guide is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This role is responsible for a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude. Acting as the patient advocate, the Care Guide has continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management. Job Requirements: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) to be completed within 2 weeks of hire date Experience: 1 year experience in a patient care role. Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and email Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience with an electronic health record Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) Other requirements/information: May be required to float between clinics as needed.
