    DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
    Plans, organizes and implements all food service related activities for patients, outpatients, visitors and staff. Ensures compliance with standards dictated by regulatory agencies. Maintains effective working relationships with other hospital departments.

    QUALIFICATIONS
     

    Professional/Educational
    1. Bachelors degree in Food and Nutrition, Health Care or Business Administration is preferred.  May consider 10+ years of industry experience in lieu of Bachelors degree.

    2. Minimum of five years supervisory experience in health care food service is preferred.

    3. Clinical dietetic experience is preferred.

    4. Must have successfully completed a formal internship and/or have obtained qualification for membership in Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or is a member of the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP).

    5. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) required.

    6. Licensed Dietitian with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation preferred.

    7. State of Illinois Food Service Sanitation Certification required within six months of employment.

    8. Experience with Cbord clinical food service management software preferred. 

     
    DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

    Shows a commitment to quality and a team spirit.
    Has the ability and experience to direct numerous staff in a variety of food service related activities in a manner that will ensure smooth, organized operation of the food service.
