Position Summary The Retail Banker is responsible for building customer relationships and developing business with existing and prospective customers. Retail Bankers process customer account transactions, provide high quality customer service and proactively promote all First Federal Savings Bank products and services.

Essential Job Functions

Building customer relationships and developing business.

Providing high quality customer service, including maintaining a strong working knowledge of Bank products and services with the ability to communicate that knowledge to customers; maintaining a courteous level of communication with customers; drafting and sending professional correspondence as needed.

Knowledgeably processing all necessary account transactions and balancing those transactions.

Providing referral business to insurance service personnel.

Performing miscellaneous duties as required in the Branch or Department, including but not limited to: bank deposits/obtaining cash, open/close office and vault, report preparation and any job duties in conjunction with the department running efficiently.

Maintains working knowledge and complies with Bank Secrecy Act.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to comprehend the various documents used in this position, including, but not limited to: Rules of Account, IRA forms and support literature, signature cards, certificates of deposit, and items presented for deposit. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense to carry out daily responsibilities. Ability to exercise good judgment when dealing with customers and co-workers.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year of retail sales experience, or equivalent.

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
