Nursing Program Information Session
Before becoming a CNA student at JJC, there are a few steps to complete. Please read the information below carefully to ensure a successful start to your classes.
All students registered for NA 101 must be fingerprinted before the first day of class. Read the information below for important details. Students must bring a driver's license/state ID and a copy of their signed Social Security card to the session; this is required by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
All students registered for NA 101 must be fingerprinted before the first day of class. There are several steps involved: please read all directions below.
1. Complete the Health Care Worker Background Check/Authorization and Disclosure Form. You will need to complete the fillable form, save it, and email the form back to JJC.
PLEASE ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BLANK.
2. Return the completed form before December 8th, 2025 via email to Chris Chierigatti at cchierig@jjc.edu or Krystyna Starcevich at kstarcev@jjc.edu. If you register for a class after 12/8/25, email the background check form after registration is completed.
3. A fingerprinting technician will be at Joliet Junior College Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Rd. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. in Building U, Room 2019. Class sections have been assigned a time slot. If you cannot come during your scheduled section time, you may come at another time on that day. It is your responsibility to bring a PHOTOCOPY of your social security card on this day.
4. If you are unable to attend on January 6th, please contact Chris Chierigatti at cchierig@jjc.edu or Krystyna Starcevich at kstarcev@jjc.edu to receive instructions to obtain fingerprinting on another date. This needs to be completed before the first day of class.

400/402: 11:00 - 12:00 pm
370/670: 12:00 - 1:00 pm
300/310: 1:00 - 2:00 pm
600/800: 1:00 - 2:00 pm
**You must bring a valid government-issued photo I.D. (driver’s license, passport or state I.D.) AND a photocopy of your Social Security Card to the fingerprinting session. This is required by the State of Illinois. Your picture will be taken by the technician. The cost of fingerprinting is included in your course fees. Please understand that you may need to wait if other students are being fingerprinted.
