Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance & Administrative Services, the Finance & Administrative Services division provides support services to the college as a whole. The division is aligned with the strategic and academic priorities of the college, and is comprised of five departments:
Business & Auxiliary Services (BASV) department consists of several diversified areas that are committed to enhancing the experiences of Joliet Junior College students, faculty, and community members through a variety of support services.
The entire BASV division provides important enterprise-wide services that include the Bookstore, Contract Management, Early Childhood Center, External Facilities Rentals, Food Services, Mail Center, Purchasing, and Print Services
Joliet Junior College Campus Police Department is a fully certified police department, which ensures the safety and well-being of all individuals on the campus and provides protection for all college buildings, facilities and property. On campus, the officers of JJC enforce all rules, regulations and laws, both of the state and of the college community.
JJC Campus Police maintain close relationships with other area police departments and work closely with the Joliet Police Department on community outreach initiatives and crime prevention. Campus police officers are on duty 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) is responsible for developing a comprehensive emergency management plan for the college, promoting a culture of safety, health, and environmental consciousness in all aspects of the campus. In the event of an emergency, EH&S supports the college in an organized effort to minimize the impact and maximize the speed at which normal operations are restored.
Working closely with all departments and local, state and federal regulatory agencies, EH&S manages and maintains a variety of safety and regulatory compliance programs and offers a wide range of safety trainings. EH&S also assists the college in managing its hazardous waste.
JJC Facility Services provides and maintains a physical environment that promotes the pursuit of academic excellence in teaching and research while continually improving the quality of our services to meet the needs of the community. Facility Services is responsible for maintaining the college’s buildings, grounds, utilities, as well as overseeing the college’s construction and renovation projects.
The staff includes full-time and part-time custodial, maintenance, planning/construction, roads/grounds, receiving and facility scheduling professionals.

Financial Services is responsible for overseeing the finances of the college. This includes the preparation of the comprehensive annual financial report (audit report) and the development of the college’s long-term financial plan, operating budget and capital budgets. In addition, Financial Services processes payroll, paying vendors (accounts payable), tuition billing/receipting and grant accounting functions.
