JJC President Joins Greater Joliet Area YMCA Board of Directors

Joliet Junior College president Dr. Clyne G. H. Namuo has joined the Board of Directors for the Greater Joliet Area YMCA. Dr. Namuo’s three-year appointment to this board will provide invaluable strategic guidance for the YMCA staff as they develop new and ongoing programs for the surrounding community.  

“I look forward to working with the Greater Joliet Area YMCA, because I am passionate about the same principles the YMCA is built upon: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility,” said Dr. Namuo. “I hope my joining the YMCA board is one of JJC's many efforts to support the local organizations that are woven into the fiber of our college community." 

The Greater Joliet YMCA has been serving the Will and Grundy County communities for 95 years. Programs and services provided by the YMCA focus on building healthy relationships among children, adults and families to strengthen the communities they belong to.
