Nursing Program Information Session
Joliet Junior College (JJC) will celebrate the class of 2024 in its 108th May commencement Friday, May 17 at 4 p.m. in the Event Center on Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road. The ceremony will include more than 675 students, one of the largest classes to graduate from JJC.
The College moved the ceremony up to 4 p.m. this year to allow graduates more time after the ceremony to celebrate their achievements with family and friends. Doors to the Event Center will open at 2 p.m.
“We are very proud of JJC’s class of 2024,” said Bob Morris, interim vice president for student development. "These students have worked extremely hard, and it is always a rewarding experience to see them walk across the stage in front of their family and friends. It will be a day they will never forget.”
Dr. Jeff Bradford, technical education professor, and Ash Klinder, member of the class of 2024, will address the audience as the faculty and student commencement speakers, respectively. Hailey Tannheimer will receive the student service recognition award for her involvement on campus and in the community.
A livestream of the ceremony is available for remote viewing and additional information about the 2024 commencement ceremony can be found by visiting the JJC graduation page. Guests should arrive before 3:45 p.m. Guests arriving after 3:45 p.m. will not be allowed to enter the Event Center until the graduates have been seated.
Graduates and their guests should be aware that significant construction is currently underway on Interstate 80 and Houbolt Road. Those driving to campus should expect traffic delays in the area. We recommend accessing campus from the north using the Olympic Boulevard entrance.
