How to Tune in
We are excited to provide paperless ticketing through our new online platform, Ludus. While we no longer offer physical tickets, our staff are available on weekdays to assist both over the phone and via email.
The Box Office also offers ticket sales in-person an hour before each performance. Cash and card are both accepted methods of payment.
Many in-person events will also be available for live streaming and/or recording upon request. For questions, please email boxoffice@jjc.edu.
Get Tickets for JJC Fine Arts EventsMythic City by James Deeb will run February 3rd - March 14th, 2025
Deeb's subjective composites of strangers he encounters on public transit in and around Chicago are birthed from his canvas in thick, heavy, weathered layers of paint. The images tell a story of struggle and loss, but also of perseverance and quiet strength... and in Deeb's own words, "refer to the trials of everyday existence with as much pathos and empathy as (he) can muster".

Five of the Little Sisters of Hoboken go off to play bingo at another convent but return to find that most of the other nuns have been accidently poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julie (Child of God). Now the sisters must put on a variety show to raise money to bury them. Amid the Chaos, it turns out that everyone wants to be a star in this "habit-forming" musical comedy.
Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind (30 plays in 60 minutes) produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. (www.playscripts.com)
by Greg Allen
Directed by Associate Professor Brian Fruits
Performances will be April 24th - 26th at 7pm and April 27th at 2pm.
Having opened in 1988 and is one of the longest-running shows in Chicago history, Too Much Lights Makes The Baby Go Blind is an ensemble experiment in presenting "30 Plays in 60 Minutes." Each two-minute play is performed in random order with an interactive audience. An onstage 60-minute timer keeps everyone honest. This collection or 90 comic, tragic, political, personal, and abstract plays gives audiences a bit of everything!
