The Test of Essential Academic Skills, TEAS for short, is a general knowledge test used as a part of selective-admissions for Nursing, LPN-RN Transition, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, and Respiratory Care programs. TEAS is currently on version 7 which was released in June of 2022. The college no longer considers older versions within selective-admissions.
TEAS must be taken in person at Joliet Junior College to be valid for selective-admissions.
Joliet Junior College does not accept TEAS transcripts from other colleges, universities, or testing entities. These results are not considered for selective-admissions.
Students are allowed to take the current version of TEAS 3 times in 5 years and no more than once per semester to be valid for selective-admissions.
JJC will use your highest valid TEAS score for selective-admissions ranking.
When a new version of TEAS is adopted by the college previous version attempts will not be counted towards your total attempts with the new version.
