Take Advantage of JJC’s Collaboration Classrooms

Did you know that JJC has two collaboration classrooms aimed to enhance group learning? The college has one at Main Campus (J2026), recently opened a second at Romeoville (RMB1010), and another is in the works at City Center.

The collaboration classrooms are designed to create comfortable environments for everyone, and enable students and teachers to work better together.

At Main Campus, there is seating for 42 students. They can sit at standard or high top tables or in lounge chairs - whatever seating best suits their learning style. The Romeoville collaboration classroom has the same seating setup, holding 24 students, with expansion capabilities. It also leads to a patio for outdoor collaboration.

The room’s technology allows you to wirelessly connect your personal device to the displays in the room. Watch as Media Services’ Jeff Fisher explains how. The computer podiums at the front of the classroom operate just like those in your regular classrooms.

For smaller group projects, the Main Campus classroom has seven breakout areas and the Romeoville classroom has five.

Both locations allow for natural light and their color schemes were chosen to help facilitate learning.

Reserving the classrooms is easy. Just log into your MyJJC portal and select 25Live Event Scheduling to place your reservation. Not sure how to use? This video tutorial explains
