To qualify to apply for the Respiratory Care Program you must meet residency requirements as defined by Joliet Junior College. Also you must have on file each of the following requirements.

If you are a transfer student, courses and grades from your previous institution(s) must already be posted to your academic record.

Official college transcripts should be mailed to Joliet Junior College, Academic Credentials Office, 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet IL 60431-8938.

A current JJC application on file listing DEGREE: Associate in Arts. INTENDED ACADEMIC PROGRAM: Pre-Respiratory Care or Occupational Selective Program-Pre-Respiratory Care

An official high school transcript or GED transcript on file with the Admissions Office verifying completion.

Valid Placement Test, valid ACT score, math 094 or higher completed.

You must have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher

All students who have met the admissions criteria are required to take the 7.0 version of the “Test of Essential Academic Skills.” You must have the TEAS exam completed and on record by March 31, 2025. Failure to do so will make your application incomplete and no longer valid. We encourage applicants to only take the exam one time per semester. If the TEAS test is taken multiple times in a semester, the committee will ONLY consider the score from the first time it was taken during the semester.
