Offsite High School Placement Testing

During your exam, you will get a survey question regarding the following statement. Please read this carefully.

JJC FERPA HS Release Form

Joliet Junior College has entered into an agreement with District 525 high schools to share Personal Identifiable Information (PII) to study testing and placement scores. This study is designed to identify key successes or failures with curriculum instruction at your home high school. The high schools will use this data (PII) to develop better curriculum and instruction to better prepare future high school students for college placement in college-level coursework.

The information to be shared with your local high school is as follows:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your date of birth
  • Your date of testing
  • Your placement testing scores (ALEKS, Accuplacer)

This information will be available to your high school to access and maintain for one academic year following this disclosure. After one calendar year, the scores may be maintained but the PII linking the scores must be removed and destroyed. Your participation in this study will not impact your placement.
