Description: Exercise flexibility in the provision of high-quality, person-centered, community day services. Provide enrichment opportunities on an individual and group basis, offering learning opportunities including, but not limited to, work behaviors, job skills, coping skills, management of disability, independent living, effective communication skills, social and recreational opportunities, etc.
Actively support and engage individuals served, providing the opportunity for full community inclusion through the provision of direct community support training and services.
Oversee production work, as assigned, ensuring that each job is set-up, processed, and quality controlled according to customer specifications.
Train and assist people served in learning warehouse safety and production work, as needed.
Be knowledgeable of psychological, developmental, and health-concerns of individuals involved in the program.
Assist in the service delivery of instructional plans and activities designated by the Life Enrichment Instructor.
Promote individual participation in discussion of plans, goals, class development, etc.
Provide crisis counseling to people as needed.
Assist in implementation and documentation of behavior programs.
Maintain data collection and other required documentation, i.e., behavior tracking sheets, behavior incident reports, data sheets, injury/witness reports, etc. Submit documentation in a timely manner to the Life Enrichment Instructor.
Provide for person-served toileting needs and clean up as necessary.
Monitor person-served break/lunch periods.
Ensure secure storage and inventory of program supplies.
Participate in the development of individual plan goals and services.
Maintain ongoing compliance with all agency-related training and certification requirements.
Respond per established procedures to all emergency situations including medical, behavioral, fire, severe weather, and other hazards.
Operate agency or personal vehicle in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Own, maintain, and use personal smartphone for company business in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred. Driving record in accordance with agency policy. A post-offer physical and criminal background check required
