Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process for medical services, ensuring accurate coding and timely submission of claims. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to navigate complex billing scenarios. The Medical Biller will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance within our organization. Responsibilities Accurately code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and government payers in a timely manner. Review patient records to ensure all necessary documentation is complete for billing purposes. Follow up on unpaid claims, resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the collection process. Maintain organized medical records and billing documentation for audits and compliance purposes. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any questions regarding patient treatment or documentation. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance. |

Skills Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), and DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) systems. Experience with medical collections processes and understanding of insurance policies. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for reviewing patient records. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and insurance representatives. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
