Sophie Treadwell's Machinal is a gripping expressionist drama that explores the suffocating constraints placed on women in a mechanized, patriarchal society. Inspired by a real-life murder case, the play follows a young woman trapped in a loveless marriage and an oppressive world, leading her to make a desperate, life-altering choice.

Content Warnings: The play contains talk of mental health struggles, murder, domestic abuse and implied sexual situations.
