Joliet Junior College President Dr. Judy Mitchell will address community members, stakeholders and local legislators during the 4th Annual State of the College on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Dr. Mitchell’s speech will focus on institutional initiatives and progress at the college over the past year.
The State of the College will take place in the U-Building Auditorium at Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road. Registration and networking begins at 7:30 a.m., with the program to follow at 8 a.m.
A new element of this year’s event allows guests to view a brief demonstration showcasing how JJC faculty, specifically nursing faculty, use virtual reality equipment in the classroom to provide a richer learning experience for students.
RSVPs are required and can be done online or by calling the JJC Communications and External Relations Office at 815-280-2659. You can also stream the event live on the JJC Facebook page beginning at 8 a.m.
