Joliet Junior College has partnered with StageClip to present a virtual commencement ceremony for recent graduates.
The college had postponed its spring commencement ceremony in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Taking into account the uncertainty of upcoming large events and other operational considerations, this decision has been made through a lot of discussion, outreach, research, and a survey with students,” said JJC President Dr. Judy Mitchell. “Many thanks to the Graduation Committee for your dedication to making this experience happen for our students.”
A representative from StageClip will be contacting students through their school email that would have been eligible to participate in the May 2020 ceremony. Students will also have the opportunity to create their own brief video to send to StageClip for inclusion in the ceremony.
The college is planning for a September debut of the ceremony online.
