For the 18th consecutive year, Joliet Junior College has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).
The award for comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) is for the FY2018 budget year and was presented to the JJC finance team. It is only given by GFOA to government bodies that meet the highest principles of governmental budgeting and achieve standards of excellence in financial reporting.
“The prestigious Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting award demonstrates Joliet Junior College’s commitment to transparency and full disclosure in all financial matters,” said Vice President of Administrative Services Rob Galick. “The college is very strong fiscally, which allows us to focus our efforts on serving our students of today and tomorrow.”
The JJC Office of Financial Services, in conjunction with representatives from the office of Student Accounts and Payments, contributed to this achievement.
