Following the appointment of Dr. Clyne Namuo as Joliet Junior College’s 10th president, the JJC Board of Trustees confirmed additional details about the presidential transition.
“I am pleased to confirm that Dr. Namuo will begin serving as the Acting President effective July 1, with full authority to execute the duties and responsibilities of the role,” Board chairman Dan O’Connell said. “President Mitchell will continue to support this critical transition through August 31, her official retirement date.”
The college will host a public event celebrating Dr. Mitchell’s presidency and retirement on May 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the U-Building Auditorium on the Main Campus.
