Admissions Sonography AAS | Joliet Junior College

To apply for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography AAS program all students must meet prerequisites prior to submitting an application.

If you are a transfer student, courses and grades from your previous institutions must have already been posted to your JJC academic record.

All students are required to take the ATI TEAS Test (version 7). TEAS 6 scores are no longer accepted. You may find out information about the test by going to ATI-TEAS.

You must have:

A current JJC Application (can be completed online at www.JJC.edu/admissions)

An official high school or GED transcript - On file with the JJC Admissions Office.

Complete BIO 149 or 151 with a grade of C or higher. (Prerequisite for BIO 250).

Complete BIO 250 with a grade of C or higher.

Complete MATH 131 or 128 with a grade of C or higher.

Complete PHYS 110 or 100 (or Radiographic Physics) with a grade of C or higher.

ATI TEAS Test (version 7) must be completed at JJC, or will be completed by Feb 28 at JJC.

In-district students have first priority of admissions. Out-of-district students will be admitted if space is available.

All transcripts from previous colleges attended must be evaluated and placed on record prior to submission of an application to the program.

JJC students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (All grades must be a 'C' or above)

Must meet technical standards of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS):
