Admissions to Host Informational Sessions for Prospective Students

Joliet Junior College’s Admissions Office will offer a series of informational events for prospective students this fall.

On Sept. 10 and Oct. 8, Admissions Information Sessions will be held in room A-1061 at the college’s Main Campus. Prospective students and their families will learn about the student services offered on campus as well as an overview of the application process and paying for college. The information sessions begin at 9 a.m. and will conclude with an optional campus tour at 10 a.m. Participants will need to register online.

There will also be three Admissions Information Sessions in the spring: Feb. 11, Apr. 14 and May 19.

On Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m., JJC will host the annual College Fair. Admissions representatives from JJC and over 130 colleges across the country will be on hand to answer any questions prospective students might have about their school.

Students and their families can attend one of three financial aid presentations. There will be two presentations in English, one beginning at 5:30 p.m. before the fair opens and one at 7 p.m. The Spanish presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. The College Fair and financial aid presentations are located in the Event Center at JJC’s Main Campus.

In addition to the College Fair, JJC will host its biannual open house, Discover JJC. Discover JJC allows prospective students to speak with departments across campus, providing information on programs, admissions, financial aid, scholarships and more. This event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the college’s Main Campus. All participants must register online
