Guitar and Percussion Ensembles Concert

The JJC Guitar Ensemble, directed by Adam Roth, consists of students and the community members, music majors and non-majors alike. This semester, the group of six guitarists and bassists will be performing the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, The Allman Bros., Ike Turner and the Rhythm kinds, Simon and Garfunkle and Tom Petty.

The JJC Percussion Ensemble, directed by Adam Cowger, will perform several genres of music. Featured composers include Angelo Badalamenti, William Bolcom, Robert J. Damm, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Mongo Santamaria and Ivan Trevino. Special guest artist, Zach Himelhoch, will lead the students in folkloric Afro-Cuban and Brazilian drumming and be featured as a guest soloist. This event will also be live streamed on Zoom for those who cannot attend.
