  • The Great Read (February 2018)

    The Great Read is a community read program that promotes literacy and conversation with suggested reads and free programming. This year’s theme is “50 Years: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – A Life, A Legacy.”

    Great Read events at JJC include:
     

    Make Two Give One Fleece Scarf Event
    Wednesday, Feb. 7
    JJC Library, 3 to 9 p.m.

    Make two no-sew fleece scarves – one to keep and one to donate to a local shelter. All supplies providedRegistration is required. 

    Book Discussion and Craft: The Watsons Go to Birmingham – 1963
    Thursday, Feb. 15
    JJC Library, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

    Bring the whole family to this book discussion event about Christopher Paul’s historical fiction novel, The Watsons Go to Birmingham – 1963, based on true events. Registration is required.

  • Out of Chicago (February 2018)

    Creativity, Vision and the Art of Photography with Out of Chicago!
    Out of Chicago has been organizing photography conferences in Chicago and around the country for the past five years. They are bringing some of their favorite photography instructors to Joliet Junior College for a day of inspirational and creative photography!

  • Kids College

    Welcome to Kid's College! Designed for students ages 3 to 17, these classes provide enrichment for imaginative young minds. Many are delighted with the chance to develop new skills and explore topics in creative settings. Students enjoy hands on activities not only in the art and engineering classes, but also in classes designed to foster reading and mathematics. Classes are set during the day, evening and Saturdays to accommodate the busy schedules of today's families.

    Joliet Junior College has opened its first MakerLab which will serve as a valuable resource to the entire community. Whether you need to use a 3D printer, 3D scanner or laser cutter, this state-of-the art equipment will take your projects to the next level.

  • Traffic School

    Will County Traffic School

    Did you receive a ticket outside Will County, Illinois? Do you want to take a four-hour National Safety Council defensive driving class at our site?

    If so, please complete the online registration form, selecting the month, day and time you would like to take the class. Please note that there is a $35 charge for taking this class at our facility.

    NOTE: If you received your ticket in Will County, DO NOT complete online the form. Your class schedule will automatically be mailed to you upon receipt of your application from the Will County Court House.

    **Please Note: If the College is closed due to inclement weather, there will be no classes. You will be rescheduled for another class.
